      Pay and that’s about it

      Cons

      They treat you like a slave and expect you to jump when they say jump or they will fire you. How does a company force you to do something dangerous and you can’t refuse it or it’s grounds for termination needless to say I got hurt and now they are refusing to pay my comp.

      Pros

      Pay is best in the business. $100,000+ first year as a road driver. Year two I made $107,000… and took two months off for cancer surgery. Year three I made $129,000. I average 2-3 nights per week in a hotel. Usually only 1 night out then back home the next day. Frequently running turns (home at end of the run). Insurance is free and EXCELLENT coverage. I paid $1,000 total out-of-pocket for cancer surgery.

      Cons

      Not much life/work balance. Frustrating spending time on the extra board waiting to get a call to go to work, but with more seniority you get less wait time.
