Pros
After bering promoted 3 times in 4 years. I feel that ABF truly stands behind and supports its employees who want to progress and move up in the company. There are some rough edges, just like anywhere else, but the quality processes and the use of focus groups are designed to help correct the mistakes that are a part of every LTL company. ABF has the "Skill and the Will" to satisfy all customers, both internal and external.
Cons
Sometimes I feel that our contractual employees really don't see how great it is to work here as compared to other transportation companies. The old proverb, "You don't miss something until it's gone", is something I don't want to ever experience here at ABF.
