Pros

Everyone that I met and worked with all seemed to be really sweet and caring people. Their processes were all very straightforward, they were even willing to assist with paying for the background checks and medical evaluations needed for the position, and training was paid.

Cons

The job was advertised as a Full-time position at $23/hr. It was then explained to me that, during training the rate would be $15.50/hr. - Ok, that's fine, I get it. Then it was further walked back to state that it was only $23/hr while you were working directly with clients, and you would be paid the $15.50 rate for travel time between clients. - Okaaay... I mean I guess that's understandable. They also expect an immediate 90 day availability commitment (and I do mean IMMEDIATE because they want a signed availability contract completed within 5mins of their scheduling process being explained to you.) I initially committed to 8-8 M-F. I had to make a slight adjustment to allow for a weekly class I had forgotten about. It took 3 emails, and essential threats from the Scheduler, they begrudgingly allowed me to change my availability on Friday to 8-4. Then I asked the all-important question, what am I being paid if I'm not working with a client or traveling between clients? - NOTHING So, do not take this job unless you can: a.) Provide them with complete open availability from day 1. b.) Can independently support yourself while you are expected to remain 'on call' and available, because you won't be able to have another part-time job, or even schedule a doctor's appointment during your first 90 days.

Pros

barely any pros. the kiddos themselves and the relationships with them you build.

Cons

RUN. cash cow private equity company. They used to be a great company until as of late. Now it’s all about chasing the money . They fired an entire team just to use AI for scheduling that doesn’t know what a “schedule” or “availability /hours available” are. and if you don’t just say yes to the 1 hour warning text from an AI bot? good luck not getting written up and talked down to. The force you to use your personal phone and blow it up through the entire day , but don’t pay a phone stipend or provide a work phone. turn over is insane to the point “new” RBT’s don’t even know who the clinic director is and thinks they are a fellow RBT. most gossip and clique together and if you don’t belong within that- good luck getting any support or guidance.
