Pros
The people in my department were phenomenal. Good people, good workers, lots of trust in each other and the flexibility to do what was needed in order to accomplish our ever-changing focus and goals. Decent salary. Immediate leadership was forthright and transparent in what was happening on the management side of things and the competing/pivoting/shifting directions and goals for our work.
Cons
Upper management (VPs and above) lacked a vision and focus. Nobody had a plan and it seemed everyone was "just winging it" and leaving it up to individuals and lower leaders to determine how to work toward vague corporate goals. No bonuses unless you were in management or sales, minimal contributions to 401k, and a handful of paid holidays with other minimal PTO.
