Pros

Work force consists of young international development professionals who are talented and passionate about their work.

Cons

The IDEV leadership team has managed to create a negative, toxic, and hostile work environment for the entire group. Junior-level staff are at best completely ignored, at worst insulted or harassed. Sexism, racism and discrimination are perpetuated by leadership both at headquarters and among the field project teams. Unethical COPs and other project staff are recycled on a regular basis despite open knowledge of past sexual harassment or racist behaviors. Male staff members are shown favoritism in the hiring process while the concerns of female employees are laughed at or dismissed. Despite having had ethics concerns brought directly to AECOM HR and legal teams, follow-up action was inadequate and laughable. Senior management has completely crushed the spirit of many young international development professionals who cared deeply about their work, some of which have since left the development field completely.

Pros

Decent company, good stock plan, good people who want to see you grow

Cons

Very remote management makes things hard, very little team work is locally siloed so its hard for managers to understand the boots on the ground view. Managers are great people but spread very thin, sometimes they accept work before having staff for it(classic consulting move)
