Some firms treat their employees as valuable assets, but I felt more like a consumable than an investment. - Applications Developer II AECOM Employee Review

Pros

As a software developer, my peers at AECOM were smart, enthusiastic and opened minded. The engineers, architects and draftsmen I shared office space with were some of the nicest people I've ever met, and my immediate supervisor went above and beyond to support me. At the implementer and lower management levels I think AECOM has some great talent.

Cons

The middle and upper management seemed to be disconnected from the relationship between output and morale. Investments in professional development and critical software tools were forbidden. For example, I had an expired license for Adobe CS3, a routine scan of system software revealed it and IT asked me to remove it. Since I used it in the course of my duties, I requested a new license for Adobe CS6 but was rejected due to the expense and told to keep using my expired license.
