Pros
- flexible time off - well structured chain of command leading to good mentorship and career guidance - massive company so lots of opportunities to get involved with different projects and gain experiences in different facets of environmental consulting - workplace independence - OT hours as a full time exempt employee - Above average yearly inflation raises
Cons
- big company so non-corporate staff are often viewed as cogs that can be easily replaced. - as is the case with most large consultancies, they do not value their non-corporate staff and will do very little to retain loyal staff - no yearly bonuses - no incentives bonuses - corporate massively cut bonuses for the 2024 fiscal year - little room for promotions or significant career growth when compared to smaller consulting firms, government, or NGO orgs - pay is not competitive - consistency hire junior staff at higher rates than long-term/more experienced staff and do not adjust staff salaries accordingly
