Pros

AECOM offers access to large-scale infrastructure projects, and some teams, like Transportation, have collaborative environments and strong technical expertise.

Cons

The lack of racial and ethnic diversity in the Raleigh office is stark—especially given the demographics of the region and the clients served. Essentially all professional staff were white, and minority representation was limited to non-professional, contract roles such as administrative or IT support—with no benefits or long-term opportunities offered for those non-professional roles. It’s especially troubling considering this office is geographically closest to North Carolina A&T, the nation’s largest HBCU engineering program. Groups like Environmental Services were especially homogeneous, which raises questions about this office leaderships commitment to inclusion in technical fields.
