Pros
As a current employee of AGC, my experience has been invaluable in both my professional and personal development as a recent graduate. Even as an employee that is not on the banking team, I am given constant exposure to client interaction and opportunity to immerse myself further in all aspects of the industry. An Operations Associate at AGC is an extremely multi-faceted role, which guarantees that no day will be the same. Nine months in, my responsibilities ebb and flow between marketing, conferences, research, recruiting, office administration, events, and direct work with the CEO on a daily basis. Junior team members are given a great deal of responsibility, which is rare in an entry level position at any other firm. While this level of trust may be daunting to some, hard work is noticed and rewarded, and there have been opportunities on numerous occasions to become more involved in other departments if desired. Arguably the best part of working at AGC has been how welcoming the entire team is. I have made close connections with coworkers at all levels and departments, which is a valued asset given the majority of the world is remote. AGC is exceptionally dedicated to ensuring that the office culture is upbeat and tightknit, with weekly outings to bars and a considerable amount of comradery while still being a fast paced environment.
Cons
Responsibilities across multiple departments can make prioritization difficult at times, but once you are able to find a balance it is invaluable to your professional development.
