Pros
As some have stated, there are opportunities for advancement. Ownership has goodwill toward employees who have difficult circumstances (or difficult family circumstances, like a very ill wife).
Cons
"Management" is a joke. Only lower level managers are truly held accountable, with no accountability for senior managers. Owners talk openly with employees about frustrations with other employees, including managers. Total inability to follow procedures in almost every department. Zero consistency, despite ownership constantly preaching how important it is. No accountability when "priceless" family heirlooms are damaged because no one read instructions on how to treat the furniture. Owners are "control freaks" who often jump in the middle of things without without knowing how to fix something (so "getting it done right now" is more important than "getting it done right') Employees at all levels are expendable. It's a frustrating place to work.
