Pros

Working from home if you want to count that.

Cons

This job is hands down the most stressful job I've had as a nurse. For starters you are EXTREMELY micromanaged. You have assigned breaks and a lunch, however you can receive a call seconds before your scheduled break. You must answer said call and complete than you have to email the "leadership team" why you are taking your break late. ?!! Umm maybe because I had to take a call a minute before my lunch? The call volume is VERY high. They need to mention this in the interview. Your phone is literally ringing from the time you clock in, for hours in. That should also be mentioned in the interview. I would've politely said absolutely not to the position. Also, while the phone is already ringing nonstop, you have "leadership" (cringeworthy even calling them that) sending back to back emails to the staff saying calls are holding. I have never experience such ridiculousness in my life. Even working in the hospital when the unit gets busy the charge nurse will role up their sleeves and help out, not just stand around and say "patients are waiting". That's true teamwork. Not sending emails that calls are waiting. Seeing that while you are already trying your hardest to work efficiently will only create more stress and causes room for error. They expect you to complete a call for MEDICAL NECESSITY within 5-6 mins. If you don't you are considered not meeting expectations. It is such a rigid workplace. I do not recommend unless the above sounds like environment you can thrive in. Yes, you can work from home but the stressful workday outweighs the novelty of that.

Pros

I started work at 9:30am so I was able to at least sleep in and eat breakfast without running out the door. Close to home, my drive time was only 20min max

Cons

You are taking a massive amount of phone calls a day. The phones are constantly ringing and you can only take assigned bathroom breaks and lunches. If you take too many breaks or are away from the phones too long you will get in trouble.
