Pros

None at all. None, none, none.

Cons

In my opinion one of the most difficult and oppressive employers. The environment is very cut throat and unpleasant. This comes from the top and follows through the executive group. The company acts as though it owns you 24/7. Employees are constantly required to attend night meetings and work substantial hours outside of normal business hours. In compensation for all of the unpaid OT you are required to go out for mandatory nights out. That’s right, another night out. The company is extremely corporate and very tight. Everything is micromanaged and there is always a sense of someone looking over your shoulder. This atmosphere stifles most employee’s creativity and work ethic. All areas of the office are under video surveillance. When an employee makes a mistake it is not handled well by management. Frequently the employee is yelled at and sometimes very publically to the point of embarrassment. There is zero tolerance for mistakes and employees are made to feel that any slip up could cost them their job. The only concern is profit. As such departments are not given sufficient staffing to handle the workload expected and employees are not given the tools needed to perform their tasks. Things that could be done automatically are done manually in house to save costs. They never give a benefit without taking something back. For instance when the company made a corporate move the ownership decided to do the move on Superbowl weekend. The move could have waited until the following weekend and all parties involved in the move planning advised the ownership that the move should wait until the next weekend. However, the move happened on Superbowl weekend when the NY Giants were in the game. All employees had to work on Superbowl Sunday and were not released until 4:00PM that day. Employees were promised a day off in compensation for their efforts. Months went by before there was a formal announcement of the compensation day and when the announcement came the company limited the eligible days to Fridays in the summer when the office closed at 1:00. So they made employees work a full day on Superbowl Sunday, promised a comp day, made the staff wait several months for it and ultimately only gave a half comp day to each employee. Very typical. The company has a very poor attitude towards, and reputation with, employees. The company turns over 40% of its staff each year.
