Pros
AKAM is very structured, which isn’t for everyone, but that structure allows managers to be successful. Managers are not “left on an island” to fend for themselves - Executives from every department are always available to help and support if there is a question or an issue which needs greater attention. I have definitely been provided more support and guidance than any other time in my career. AKAM also provides a great ability to advance, as there are many of people here who started out as Assistant Property Managers and are now Executives and Senior Executives.
Cons
As with any company in this industry, the workload is high and can stretch everyone thin. However, AKAM does attempt to even out the work/life balance, including earlier meeting start times and corporate outings at least every other month.
