Pros

Instant discount and More card. Very friendly staff who work beyond the call of duty for their colleagues. Company is trying slowly to modernise, we are far behind our competition in technology and systems

Cons

A company that yo yo‘s pay on a weekly basis and expects Seniors to pick up the slack and change hours every single week to fill the gaps. Colleagues regularly get phoned up to cancel overtime. The 11 hour break between shift rule doesn’t exist, you can expect to finish at 10:30 on a late and be back for 6:00 am on a weekly basis. They don’t try and place you close to home; every day is a 12 hour day. Everything is dictated to by Kpi’s and any overspend on the usual costs are expected to be justified on a conference call. Sometimes three daily. Colleagues are worked hard, team managers are close to breaking point. Seniors are just abused with their hours. The company just serves their shareholders and expects colleagues to deliver without fail. Broken culture

Pros

Great pay Hours were always there The manager at my location is a rare gem. Never had a boss quite like him. Everyone I worked with became like my family.

Cons

EXTREMELY physically demanding. I injured myself multiple times while I worked there.

I loved working at Aldi. The pay was great! Benefits great! Was training to be a store manager so a lot was expected of me but I was totally up for it. My store manager loved my work, associates loved my fairness, customers loved me.

Cons
