Pros
no pros, unless you like sucking up to people
Cons
-almost everyone in that store has south asian background (store manager, asm, store assistants etc) so if you're not one of them and you're new, you will be picked on. -the store manager expects you to be fast and doesnt give you advise on how to be fast. on my first 2 morning shifts, he told me you "you need to be fast, i dont know how you're going to do it but you have to be fast" -very cliquey, theres 2 groups that you need to be aware of , the south asians and the white people so if you're not any of those races you will be left out on your own. the white group is slowly starting to dismantle (most of them have quit/are planning to quit) -sm will think you're lying if you use the same reason twice why you couldn't come to your shift... like you've never missed your alarm twice in your life..? -will tell you to stay a bit later and then not change your hours in their system -its not considerate to people who are not fit/short and couldn't see why this might be the reason why you're slow with your pallets especially during probation which is not even full 3 months. -the sm is also a good gaslighter and will tell you: "youve been here for 2 months" but those "2 months" isnt enough time to train when its like minimum 3 shifts per week. -tried to tell me im slow on the registers (the min. is 800) and failed to show me someone who's on that speed (everyone was basically on the same speed around 600ish) yet didnt apologize for that -if you have bad hearing or not used to thick heavy south asian accent, and you keep telling them to repeat what they said, they will assume you are slow and will passive aggressively say stuff to you and make you feel stupid. bc of this he thinks i didn't read my contract and tried to be sneaky and told me my notice period is 2 weeks even though in the contract it says only 1 week during probation. -sm is also a guilt tripper
