      Pros

      Employees are friendly and willing to help. Base compensation is competitive.

      Cons

      Career development is very poor since management does support the process. Once employees are laid off, regardless of performance, AMD does not appear to encourage rehiring.

      Processes and checks/balances not always followed (no strong rigid process flow which can be good/bad) Company still too consumer product focused (versus corporate) in many divisions

      Pros

      The pay is really nice. 3/4 managers I've had actually seem to care! Nice location for most folks.

      Cons

      They will keep you on contract until they literally cannot anymore. Getting hired on full-time is like pulling teeth.
