Pros
I've been with AMERISAFE for over 5 years. I have never worked for a company that takes as much interest in their employees as AMERISAFE does. AMERISAFE has done a lot for their employees, they started a scholarship for employee's children (both home office and field), they established an assistance fund for employees. There are many companies this size that take that much interest in their employees.
Cons
Being that AMERISAFE is not a large company and doesn't have a lot of turnover, you do have to be willing to wait for advancement opportunities. There are advancement opportunities available, and AMERISAFE does like to promote from within when they do become available.
