Pros
-Is it the worst job in the world? No. -Management knows their Glassdoor reviews are horrible. They mentioned it multiple times in company wide calls. Guess it is just easier to make fake reviews than fix the company. When I got hired, I thought, "there is no way it could be that bad". Now the score is a semi-respectable 3, despite nothing has improved. -You get insurance. -You get PTO. -You get a paycheck, is it lower than any other company in the industry. Yes. They take on people with little to no AML/BSA experience (and in some cases any work experience). Could they bump up the pay closer to what other companies in the industry pays once you've proven yourself capable and get promoted to an analyst II position? yes. -You get e-mails talking about how important Juneteenth and MLK are while you work on Juneteenth and MLK day. -Pretty sure it is near impossible to get fired. Had some really lazy co-workers. -You get to know what its like to be in a cult without being in a cult. They'll talk up the company as an industry leader. Every acquisition is positioning themselves better in the sector. But when you talk about your work experience in job interviews, few have ever heard of AMLRS. -There are some really nice people, some are even managers. -They bought a nice 2021 HR Top 50 award for the CPO. She got rid of the bonus plan in 2019. Seems worthy of an award. -you get a branded water bottle (at least did in 2019 and 2020).
Cons
-A constant wet floor in the Men's bathroom. The aim in Arizona is pretty poor around the urinal. Not looking forward to that when we return to office. -They knew their bonus system didn't pay much of anything. They took it away. So instead of getting $100-ish a quarter. You got nothing. Took them almost two years to come up with a convoluted bonus plan. -You're salary. Gotta meet the deadline. So you are working overtime for free. -Your lazy co-worker(s) gets the same cost of living bump as you do. Almost 1%! -Ask your friends that work at cool up and coming companies what is in their break room. Free cereal bar? Free bottled juices? Free meals in a cafeteria? maybe its just vending machines selling snacks/drinks at cost. Well Phoenix has MSRP drinks and snacks with tables and chairs! -Gotta pay for parking. Nothing like getting paid below the industry entry point and paying for downtown parking.
