Pros

Gym, decent cafe, cool people working side by side at tiny desks.

Cons

There is a huge turnover in the recruiter positions. Sink or swim for new members - even with so-called "training program". Clip from the movie 'Boiler Room' shown in sales training video. Lowest pay for team members in the recruitment ($16 per hour plus commission? Most agencies pay more!) Yet, management dangles completely unrealistic income expectations in front of new team members. The majority of the recruiters employed at AMN do not earn more than $45k after two years even though they are told that they can earn $65k in the first 6 months. Micro-managers push their teams to the extreme to hit numbers to bolster their team ranking: Gotta get to the Mexican Riviera for President's Club next year! Overtime expected and encouraged. Little to no work/life balance. Mondays, expect to work until 7PM. Friday, at least 6PM. If you have a family, make sure to have childcare available.

Pros

My experience with AMN’s hiring and onboarding process has been truly best-in-class. Every interaction—from Talent Acquisition to leadership—was professional, thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely human. Communication was clear and timely, expectations were well managed, and I felt respected throughout the entire process. What stood out most was the people-centered culture.
