Pros
Tenacity and patience strengthened in a tense work environment. Conditioned to be held accountable for others inadequacies, expected to apologize for everything. This helped build patience and resilience.
Cons
Leadership/management is passive aggressive. Organization ideologies for the sake of appearing superb in the public eye are false and fabricated at best. While the organization preaches about speaking up, it won’t help you if your opinion is not in line with the status quo. It’s clear that those who express a different idea within reason are ostracized and shut down and bulled out. Sadly this is common at AMN. My advice would be to sit back and keep your ideas to yourself if you plan on building rapport. You will need it to advance. Employees are disposable. Favoritism is displayed on the regular. If you threaten someone’s position based on your strengths they will find a way to replace you “legally” and undermine the experience you bring. The actions of the company are viewed as promising to those outside of the organization but once you’re on the inside you quickly learn that there are two very different sides of AMN. Proceed with caution.
