Pros
Flexible with scheduling time off. Area is great and cheap. Place is a mess so you will learn to do many things.
Cons
Place is a mess. Methods used in analytical testing are a disaster. Instructions are not always clear and/ or typos are left in the instructions (even after management has been made aware of said typos). The documentation system is absolutely burdensome. You will need a spear because this place runs on tribal knowledge. Training is terrible too. Management is knowledgeable but often times unprofessional. I've seen a person denied a transfer because a particular manager was hurt the person requesting the transfer rejected his advances (There were no consequences for said manager). I've seen a differential treatment of staff by a particular supervisor in terms of work hour expectations. If you are friends with the supervisor, you can work less than 8 hours or leave early without a problem (work finished or not). If you were not in this lucky group, you can expect to be disparaged for not staying extra hours (9+) to finish your work. You can also expect the same supervisor to publicly shame you as well.
