Pros
Good colleagues and clothing allowance
Cons
I don't even know where to start but definitely one of the most frustrating things is that how frequently Visual Merchandisers change the layout of the store. Products are relocated almost daily, which not only disrupts the flow of work but also makes it incredibly difficult for Sales Advisors to assist customers effectively. It makes product knowledge and memorisation pointless as the information becomes outdated within 24 hours. And I'm not even sure they're know that these constant changes highlight a lack of confidence in their own merchandising strategy and ultimately create inefficiencies for both Sales Advisors and the VM team itself. On top of that, there are serious concerns around the quality of management. Many managers seem to have been promoted purely based on tenure rather than leadership capability. While they hold the title, they often lack the fundamental skills required to manage, support, and lead a team. There’s a noticeable gap between their responsibilities and how they actually operate and it’s unclear if they fully understand the accountability that comes with their role and pay grade.
