Pros

Coffee in the break room

Cons

I worked at ARW Home and it was by far the worst career move I've made. The company is highly disorganized, and there's a constant churn in management. It seems like a new manager is being fired every few months, which makes it incredibly difficult to get anything done or have any sense of stability. The leadership team, appears to have started this company primarily as a money-making scheme. My own research into the CEO's family revealed numerous concerning legal cases and accusations of unethical behavior, including allegations of money laundering and dishonesty. There are plenty of court cases you can find online that are quite eye-opening. One of the biggest red flags for me was that the company does not offer health insurance, which is something every employee deserves. Given the high-stress environment and poor management, therapy should almost be part of the job description. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone, not even to my worst enemy. There are far better opportunities out there where you can grow in a healthy and ethical environment. Stay away from this one!

Pros

You can work from home

Cons

Upper management is a mess. High quality lead distribution (or lack thereof) is based on favoritism or retribution. They'll endlessly deny this in public facing meetings but it's a given when you talk to a manager about it behind closed doors. Lead generation is often done with methods that mislead targets into thinking they are calling other businesses. likely other home warranty companies. Most of the day you'll be talking to people who called by accident and you'll be expected to convert wrong numbers into sales. It's atrocious. I've never seen a company so reliant on this type of tactic. The product itself is abysmal, even by home warranty standards. Read the sample terms on the website and compare it with almost any other home warranty company. It's laughable. If you don't mind selling actual snake oil, actual fugazi, this job is perfect for you. Jordan Belfort wasn't a good salesman -- he just lied a lot. But these guys will post gifs of Leo all day in teams to convince you that he is some type of god. You'll need to obfuscate the truth or flat out lie to be successful here. This is not a job for honest salespeople.
