Pros

Benefits, office, people are nice.

Cons

Most political office I have ever worked in. A lot of infighting among departments and an executive team that gossips creates a toxic environment. Office culture is a big problem, but I applaud recent efforts to fix this issue. Each department has their own culture where employees have a completely different experience depending on who they work for, including work/life balance.

The lower level staff and friendly and hard working, and we all have each others back. There is a true dedication at the lower staff level (director and below) to providing quality to our members.

Cons

The CEO is power hungry and quickly eliminates anyone who might be considered a rival or a threat to her power. The C-Suite panders to her who and doesn't stand up for the staff under them. Anything she wants she gets, which is stressful to staff as she constantly demands new programs without doing any kind of market or business analysis, and then staff are overworked and stressed having to churn out new programs that consistently fail.
