Pros
So many talented designers and colleagues producing incredibly high quality work, lots to learn and mentoring available if you seek it out. They pay for licensing exams (if you pass). Typical Bay Area amenities- snacks at office, swag items a couple times a year
Cons
Upper management is resistant to change, like pulling teeth - didn’t listen to any employee feedback about return to office policies. Unspoken expectations to be in the office as much as possible, despite touting work-life balance. Constant pressure to work long hours until the project is “perfect” instead of staffing appropriately. “No titles” gimmick is mostly used to prevent you from advancing within the company. No clear path to promotion. Also creates confusion within project assignments, who do I report to? Who is in charge? Etc Tons of micromanagement- last minute design changes, “work until it’s perfect” attitude Leadership stuck in the stone ages - don’t trust employees to work from home (or be out of their sight).
