Pros
+ The company moved me to Tokyo after some Skype interviews even without testing my Japanese ability + Depending on your project, you can get a lot of seniority and autonomy because the team sizes are so small
Cons
- Salaries are low and raises are even lower - Not much of a long term vision for the company to speak of - Digital work is now being done out of Boston, so don't come to the Tokyo office for that kind of work - Japanese bureaucracy is in full force within Japanese offices, which can be very frustrating for people used to Western management styles - Most everything needs to be signed off on all the way up the company ladder, so the pace of change at ASICS is extremely slow in Japan - Don't expect to get involved in any high level decision making or get much of an explanation for decisions that have been made without your input
