Leaders at the top are out of touch and too proud to make important changes that will benefit the company. As a result, they end up getting rid of the work force on the ground to cut costs. These are the the people with fresh ideas, full of energy and passionate. This creates unnecessary frustration and little room for progression for individuals and for the company.
