Pros
- light workload - flexible schedule - frequently hire new college grads
Cons
- pay less than industry standard - most employees are lazy or incompetent because no one gets fired - everyone else makes more money than you do, but you do all of their work. - unless you are a brown-noser and extremely motivated, you will not be given the opportunity to work on new development. therefore, you will most likely not learn anything here. - what you learn is useless in other non-defense jobs. all of the technology is outdated. - office politics - you need to know someone to get ahead - too much dependence on their only customer, Lockheed Martin - MSE is not in control of its own money. It has to defer to ASRC Federal (it's parent company) - CMMI level 5 is not conducive to software development - no agile software development
