Pros
The have a great cafeteria. Guandu is far north of Taipei so its possible to get the feeling of being out of the city but not too far.
Cons
The Taiwanese concept of face preventing anyone from giving me any work - more work for me meant less work for someone else which meant no one would give me assignments. Often times these meetings cover details that are not at all relevant to my "work" (or lack thereof) but I was still forced to sit in on these 3-4 hour meetings, most of the time people would play games and not pay attention. Management is absolutely clueless, total diffusion of responsibility when things go wrong, but when things go "right" its - look what I did. No concept of sharing ideas, often times it was act, and then ask if something makes sense, when feedback is, no it doesn't make sense, often times the response is, well the decision has been made, work with it.
