Pros
Better pay that most in Taiwan (if you work for laptop/tablets/phones dept. not PC peripheral). HQ has gym, pool, sports activities, subsidized food and a Starbucks. Has opportunity, but you have to really dig it out and hope you've got a good manager. Jonney Shih is inspirational and really the one worth listening to.
Cons
It's a do as I say culture. Don't think you really have a voice. Planning is virtually non-existent across business units so expect last minute changes and lots of deferred decisions. It's a sales-driven company, not branding, so if you're sales/product management - great - but if you're marketing or PR, you're at the arse-end of the pecking order. You get little to no negotiation in your salary package and if you're young, they'll chew you up and spit you out because you get to have ASUS on your CV; 20-somethings will work all hours.
