Pros
You might get lucky and work for a manager that cares about you and your personal development
Cons
First and foremost, you will not get a competitive salary here. You will be paid around 20% lower than the industry standard for your position. We use to get 5 hours of sick leave every pay period but now its 1.5. We were told that by lowering your sick leave hours to 1.5 every pay period that we would be line with the rest of the industry. I have no idea where they got this number from but I hope you don't plan on getting sick. This company does not value their employees at all. There is no push for professional development. Managers will push you to work above your position yet you won't see a promotion unless someone above you leaves the company. There is a huge disconnect between executive leadership/HR and lab personnel. We were frequently told not to go to HR with our problems. Your manager is your go to person for everything, so if you have problems with your manager there is no one to go to. I've known people that have left the company because of anxiety problems induced by their manager. They will cram as many people as they can into a lab space. I was put into a hallway that resembled a call center mixed with a detention facility. I used to think the conditions at ATCC were the industry norm but they're not. There are better opportunities out there. Please know your worth and don't work for a company like ATCC. Also, please be aware of fake reviews! If a review looks too good to be true its obviously fake. During your interview, HR will try to tell you not to look at Glassdoor for reviews as it is all disgruntled former employees. Don't listen to them, look at the red flags.
