sick leave, health insurance, great co-workers, lower management's willingness to work with you when you have personal issues at home to attend to

Cons

mandatory overtime, too cheap to hire enough people for all departments, management does not concern themselves with your opinion to help make improvements, lack of advancement opportunities

Pros

- Benefits are pretty good -People I directly work with in the labs are good at their jobs - Manassas Campus has a convenient grab and go food area which helps out when I forget to pack a lunch / don't have time to go out and grab something -Closed between Christmas and New Years

Cons

- Needs better coverage for mental health care - It seems like a lot of money goes towards administrative areas, while the lab wings are pretty cramped. It badly needs an extension with additional lab spaces. - Company recently changed from biweekly paychecks to weekly paychecks, which limits the ability to flex time, and being salaried, overtime is not compensated. -Can be very difficult to climb the ladder. Admin staff seem to be promoted more easily than lab staff. - Large reliance on paper records - Management tends to rush implementation of new systems before they're ready - Even with this being a non-profit, C-suite management makes multi-hundred-thousand-dollar salaries, and the old CEO was making over $2M in 2024 while not contributing much. It's hard to believe they're in touch with the common employee - Dragged their heels on implementing parental leave until forced to by law. HR loves to emphasize the small things they implement. -No leave sharing program
