Pros
Compensation package is generous but you may have to negotiate for what you want. And negotiate you should. The facilities are improving and the focus on digital transformation is for real. The employees are fantastic with the occasional exception. The culture is supportive and friendly and I never dread going to work. The hybrid work option for information workers is a plus so if you’re not directly tied to production, you’ll appreciate the flexibility.
Cons
We are understaffed in almost all areas except HR. So the pace is fast and hard. There’s no time to relax and it is difficult to do the job as well as it should be done. There’s just too much to do. We are moving to an ITIL focused service model but we aren’t quite there yet. The IT portion of the business was ignored budget wise for so long, we are not where they should be in 2023. But we are getting there quickly. So quickly it sometimes seems like we tend to just get it done and fix it later rather than do it correctly. So if you want to cruise into work and through your day, this is not the place for you. Come ready to work fast and hard.
