Before I list some of the other challenges you should be very aware of the situation you're getting into ... the direction of the company seems to be very chaotic. They are a niche product in an industry slammed by supply chain challenges ... I get it ... the environment these days in tech is a little chaotic ... but how they handled that situation was gross. There is zero culture here and I don't believe they care about you as a person one bit. ATTO hired me away from a good and stable job with a bunch of promises on how the company and department was growing, only to be "furloughed" in less than a year. They either knew it was a risk to hire me with the financial status of the company, or they are incompetent to not see the potential risk coming. People are not pawns to be risked. If I had any idea how unstable things were there I would have never joined the team. I was lucky this was not a huge step back in my career. They also were very cold about the whole process. There was no warning ... in fact I just had my annual review and it went well. When I was let go, they wouldn't even pay out my vacation because they said that was their policy. What policy? Treating people like garbage? They have zero loyalty and are just out for themselves. I was not the only person let go ... several others were from my understanding. Some with many years of service ... others that were part of the same hiring spree from when I joined the team and led to believe it was a good time to join. Keep in mind they furloughed a lot of people at the beginning of the pandemic too. Other cons: - Bad office culture. It's very quiet and stale. Very little diversity. - Extremely outdated resources - they are using an email, CRM, and database system from the 90s - not an exaggeration - for those that may know it, it's called Lotus Notes. It's awful and for some reason they don't want to change it. - Their products themselves seem to be solid - but I really have a tough time believing they will ever crack a significant portion of the market. Bad sales teams and strategies ... complete lack of direction. Their pipeline is a mess and they can't get product in the supply chain to sell anyways. - also don't work here unless you have a background in tech or engineering ... the learning curve is steep ... even though they will lie and tell you it isn't that hard to learn. Overall I would not recommend working here. This is just what I can share to keep my anonymity ... otherwise I would keep going about specifics.
