An Employee put resignation in month of Feb to the Organisation. Its appraisal time and also Variable pay-out will be decided by end of March end. After a month time, Now, His manager comes and speaks about appraisal rating calibration and says, hope it doesn’t matter since you put paper. Probably, because of below reasons? 1. Don't want to count the employee as attrition in the team/ organisation. 2. Divert the appraisal amount to other employees in the team. 3. Cut down the variable pay. Question: Should employee doesn't need to work during serving their notice period. How can a manager asks that we are calibrating the ratings and should not affect since you are leaving the organisation. Even a Person resigns, Person is still employee of the organisation and bound to follow all rules and regulation and be productive till they separate and same applies to the Employer.
