Pros
1. Good pay, above average for this field of work. 2. Nice colleagues for the most part, and the multiculturality is a plus. 3. Opportunities to travel even as an officed-based person. 4. Interesting work, in that it is related to my studies and is still challenging after so much time.
Cons
1. Career growth is promised, but never delivered (even if you do all the background work needed to move it along). 2. Management says a lot of things, changes idea from one day to the next... But they never dare put it in written. Wonder why? 3. Problems are not problems until they happen in USA. Doesn't matter if Europe or the rest of the world is 4x the business size: issues fester for very long times and/or until they show up in USA, then it's max priority. This behaviour negatively impacts morale and motivation. 3. KPIs and statistics that you or your work is measured on are outright incorrect/biased/contradictory and no one cares even if you highlight it with proof. 4. Due to all of the above, seeing people get rewarded/promoted because "the math" says so regardless of reality. 5. Weird obsession with reducing the flexible options/work from home in a post-covid world.
