Pros

Watching bad management in action is a masterclass in how not to lead. You’ll definitely grow… probably in resilience, patience, or your ability to smile through chaos. great stand up material "You'll never believe what happened at work today..." becomes a weekly saga.

Cons

It’s truly heartbreaking to witness the culture at Abnormal Security. These people are so overworked and underappreciated, it’s clear they believe putting the company before their own families is the right choice. I've seen it firsthand and heard it from employees themselves – they would rather work overtime than attend their own children’s important milestones and advancements. This is not a company that values work-life balance; it’s a toxic environment that disregards the well-being of its employees. The way they treat their staff is nothing short of awful. It’s honestly a tragedy to see such dedication to a job that comes at the expense of family and personal happiness. I cannot recommend this company to anyone who values their time, health, or family. It’s a deeply troubling situation.

Pros

While pay IS competitive there were a few employees that were well underpaid even at the level they were at. Pro's - are that they educate you to use AI, the overall people team is great.

Cons

There was a shift in leadership last Fall and there have been cultural changes and not great ones. People are promoted without having the right experience required for the job aka senior manager roles. It seems like everyone is not happy and wants to leave. It is just a matter of time until turnover happens. There has been too many promises broken, broken leadership communication which results in a lack of trust, some managers are now micromanaging and it comes across as they fear for their jobs. They want to IPO which is great but ousting the entire GTM leadership sales team and head of people around the same time raised eyebrows.
