Pros
You will undoubtedly work with some of the most talented co-workers you've been around. I feel lucky to work with the people I get to in this organization and all the credit in this regards goes to our leaders that select who becomes an AMSer. We work hard in creating a growth-focused, fun, and hardworking environment and bringing the right people in and keeping them here. Anyone tenured will tell you that we work year in and year out to get better. Although we've grown a lot, we try as hard as we can to resemble a smaller school district in hearing the opinions of all of our employees, and we try our best to walk the tight rope of "structure" and "autonomy".
Cons
Our teachers have built-in planning time, and the salary is highly competitive, but generally our biggest challenge is our extended school day (and in PHX extended school year). This is what it is needed to take students that are underperforming and get them high school and career/college ready. For other employees we have a standard work schedule.
