Pros

Work: I've worked at Acadia for several years and have enjoyed almost every day. The company has a very progressive culture and captivating work environment, which allows me to grow both professionally and personally. My long term goals have always been to create ideas and strategy and then see them come to life, Acadia allows me to do just that. Staff: I learn a lot from the people around me and I like to think it goes both ways. Office normally has a lot of laughter but is always delivering above and beyond. Management: High expectations but understanding. Constantly pushing me to grow and be the best version of myself. Always developing.

Cons

They don't match 401 K. Hours can be long but that is expected in today's work life and if you want to grow.

Pros

Ability to work from home, bonus money is decent, and overtime is pretty abundant.

Cons

Cons: Management showed very little compassion or flexibility during serious medical situations. I was dealing with severe spinal cord compression and kept my supervisor informed every step of the way. My doctor’s appointment had to be rescheduled due to a tornado threat, and the physician was unexpectedly out until the following Monday, which delayed my documentation. Despite being upfront and communicative, I was terminated before I could even obtain the note. Losing my job and health insurance in the middle of a serious medical crisis was devastating. The role itself can also feel emotionally draining because intake staff are often left handling upset patients and families without enough support from the facilities. I had to reschedule my surgery so I couldn’t get married and put on my Husband’s insurance, kind of sucks a healthcare company would do an employee that way!
