Pros

Former co-workers were great. A lot of them were dedicated to helping people and changing lives.

Cons

Acadia acquired CRC Health this year. Many were hopeful that it would be a positive change. It ended up being a very difficult transition. If you are considered "corporate" you have to relocate and work out of the Franklin, TN headquarters. Acadia HR will let you think that you can work from a different location, even offer you a permanent position, but as soon as they get the information they need from you, they terminate you and hire someone in Franklin, TN to replace your position. After the acquisition, we waited for months to hear from Acadia management/HR.. The only time I did hear from them was when I was terminated. Afterwards, I had questions but they went unanswered because no one would respond to calls or emails. I'm still waiting on my exit interview.

Pros

Ability to work from home, bonus money is decent, and overtime is pretty abundant.

Cons

Cons: Management showed very little compassion or flexibility during serious medical situations. I was dealing with severe spinal cord compression and kept my supervisor informed every step of the way. My doctor’s appointment had to be rescheduled due to a tornado threat, and the physician was unexpectedly out until the following Monday, which delayed my documentation. Despite being upfront and communicative, I was terminated before I could even obtain the note. Losing my job and health insurance in the middle of a serious medical crisis was devastating. The role itself can also feel emotionally draining because intake staff are often left handling upset patients and families without enough support from the facilities. I had to reschedule my surgery so I couldn’t get married and put on my Husband’s insurance, kind of sucks a healthcare company would do an employee that way!
