Pros
-Tons resources -Great equipment like power stretchers and new ambulances -24/7 lift assist available -Free CEs -Frequent trainings with a person dedicated to helping you feel comfortable with your skills -Easy to pick up overtime -Shop and supervisors good about fixing or replacing faulty equipment -Legit company with unexpired equipment -Easy access to billing and people who can assist with the insurance side of transports
Cons
-High call load -Stupid posting assignments and rolling coverage (any downtime had is spent driving far for coverage only to be sent back to original location because a truck has cleared and will resume area coverage) -Constant acquisition of new EMS companies which strains the call load of current workers -Always calls or texts you if you can come in on days off -24hr shifts work almost as hard as normal 12&8hr shifts but get a significant pay cut due to scheduled OT -Low morale -Favoritism among certain employees -As a field employee you are bottom of the barrel and supervisors, coordinators, and dispatch are all almighty and what they say goes
