ATL is technology driven and inspired by cutting edge ideas. The headquarters is an attractive office building with lots of natural light.

Cons

Family run business in which upper level management and owners are relatives; however, they all use different last names so this is not evident during the interview process. While truly a small business, they operate with a top-heavy, cumbersome, out-dated sales strategy and a software development strategy that is reactionary and rushed. Performance reviews and communication regarding raises, IRA contributions, and potential year-end bonuses is non-existent.

This employee quit after being demoted. They were demoted due to buggy code and a lot of customer complaints about software not working right. Had they stayed with the company, we would have trained them on the correct way to write code. Management always looks at demotions as a failure of our training, and is always committed to helping the employee improve.

Pros

I have worked for large Fortune 500+ companies for the first 16 years of my career. I had enough of that and decided to take a chance on a "smaller" company. It turned out great!!! The people are nice, easy to get along with, intelligent and open-minded. I can see the value my work brings to the company on a daily basis and it is visible all the way up to the CEO. Compare that to larger companies where you design a software app that brings in huge revenue and you dont even get an at-a-boy. The software here is challenging due to its complexity and we are constantly making it better. There is not a lot of hand-holding if you know your tech and create cool solutions to difficult problems. Creativity is encouraged and appreciated!

Cons

some of the tech is "older" but we are in the process of changing that.
