Pros
Everything I say here is about parts of the company other than sales and marketing. My work is after sales are made. General Everyone actually cares about the customers and the company and each other. No one says bad things about the customers or cares more about the customers money than the customers themselves. Management has gotten much better over time. Office politics are rare. Benefits My pay is good but not everyone can say the same. The vacation time is average but available when you need it. The health insurance is great for the employee. There are opportunities for advancement if you do a good job. Sometimes management gives bonuses near the holidays. Doing the job The equipment we use is great. It is easier to get my job done because of the equipment. The best part of the job is the variety. Almost every day is different and you will be challenged. The people here are good people who care. Personal I work hard at ATL and ATL has worked to keep me here. I am grateful for my job and my coworkers and my management.
Cons
Everything I say here is about parts of the company other than sales and marketing. My work is after sales are made. General For a long time upper management was not consistent when giving work directions and micromanaged. This has changed much for the better since ATL 2.0. I work about 40-50 hours a week but it goes up and down. There was a time when we would be expected to work lots of overtime by certain management but this expectation has changed. Benefits The pay seems mostly less than Raleigh Durham or Charlotte. This seems to be because there is not much competition in the local area in this line of work. This does not seem like a good argument because we are a tech company with remote employees. The health insurance is very expensive if you want to add anyone to it other than the employee. I have good pay, but sometimes I had to ask for an increase. Yearly performance reviews and pay discussion are not consistently discussed. Sometimes we get bonuses but these are not pay increases. Doing the job The worst part of the job is often having far more work than you can do. It feels like we are always running a skeleton crew. Sometimes the sales and marketing department hires and fires very quickly. It feels bad because we cannot assume someone new in sales and marketing will be here in a few months. Personal I have had some bad experiences at this company where I was a victim of bad decisions people had made in good faith. This caused LOTS of personal stress. I know at least one coworker had a health issue because of the work stress. Even though I had bad experiences the people here are good people who care and the company has changed over time to be much better. I can trust my management has my best in mind.
