Pros

I have enjoyed many aspects of working at Accenture over the years, particularly the opportunities to collaborate with talented colleagues and the company's strong culture of volunteering and community engagement. There are also flexible work arrangements available for some employees, which can provide a good work life balance depending on your role and leadership.

Cons

That said, the company has changed significantly over the past several years. Since Julie Sweet became CEO in 2018, the focus has shifted noticeably from being employee centered to being much more shareholder centered. While I understand that every business must remain profitable, many employees have experienced years without base salary increases or performance bonuses while millions are returned to shareholders. Each year, the explanation seems to change, often with very little advance communication or transparency, which has made it difficult for employees to feel valued or plan for their financial future. The biggest disappointment has been the decline in employee morale. Accenture was once a company I enthusiastically recommended to friends and colleagues because I genuinely believed it invested in its people. Today, I find myself warning others to carefully consider whether it aligns with their career goals and expectations. Accenture still offers opportunities for learning, networking, and community involvement, but I hope the company finds its way back to prioritizing the employees who have contributed to its success.

Pros

There are a lot of pros working for Accenutre. They have great career opportunities, a never ending supply of interesting work, competitive compensation, wonderful benefits, great people, wonderful training programs, a tremendous number of brilliant professionals in their fields ready to help, and great core values.

Cons

This is not an opportunity for those that do not want to work. At Accenture everyone has a load of work to do and often times under very tight customer time lines. It is a challenge that I enjoy but many might find it stressful.
