Parking can be a great way to provide excellent guest service in a fast paced environment. They pay at the lower levels such as a valet can be substantial based on the tips. Event venues often have large amounts of down time between shows. a Good job for college students
Cons
Once you reach managerial positions through hard work and performance you will most likely be required to work very long hours often 16 hours a day in my case especially in areas that are harder to staff properly. they pay is comparable to restaurant manager salary in most cases. The upper levels often become a who knows who with management making it harder to get into certain positions without knowing someone. And in addition the ability to keep a position because there may be someone more experienced than you. they also have absolutely no training program for managers this leads to a bidding war between companies for managers that has lead to some shady actions by upper management.
