Pros
As a valet, you can pretty much work whenever you are available. I work in special events and there is always opportunities to work but mostly on the weekends. Tips vary from event to event but it is always nice to have some cash when you leave work.
Cons
Management is pretty horrible, the San Diego special events manager is always in a sour mood and is an overall downer to everyone. Also at times there could be poor communication to employees. The worst part of this job is when they overstaff an event which happens quite frequently and you hardly earn anything in tips. Another con is that they'll cut you early from an already short shift. It's hard to actually make a living as a runner but as a broke college student its a good way to earn extra cash
