Pros

A real opportunity for someone who likes free fall

Cons

You will have to put up with a mean and incompetent management, and a slew of misinformation. Here are some of them: A) They claim the current management was responsible for company growth when the reality was just the opposite. The company's business shrunk in the last 3 years B) Company claims that the ex-CFO is the right person to focus on product innovation. That's a big joke. The ex-CFO has no knowledge of even what the Act-On product does. C) The new COO is being given credit for things he did not do. As the previous head of business development he did no significant new deals in 2 years and lost the company's biggest customer, Microsoft. D) Only one board member actively involved in the company This person is the least qualified person to help management. Only two types of people will join this company: 1) mercenaries who are at the end of their careers and looking to bleed what's left in this once great company or 2) idiots

Pros

Act-on has since been purchased, but my experience was very positive. They were the last standing marketing company to not be gobbled up by a larger corporation. The product was superior to Adobe/Salesforce/Oracle’s and engineering staff super-passionate.

Cons

Executive staff was mainly on a treadmill.

Pros

They offer a partial fitness reimbursement for your gym membership.

Cons

They will say they have modern, progressive values. It’s a deception. When it comes down to it, the only thing they stand for is protecting leadership. Even the company’s bottom line comes second to appeasing senior leaders. This company punishes dissent and tolerates bullying when the perpetrators are friendly with senior leadership. Desperation after years of poor performance have created a toxic environment where leaders cover for their mistakes by isolating and targeting those who disagree with them. Dishonest. The least transparent company I’ve ever worked for. You will hear one thing one day and be told the opposite the next day on your way out the door.
