Pros

Full time hours, decent training, they have clear pathways to moving up the company and great partnerships discounts for getting a degree.

Cons

There are no sick time off hours which is a major red flag for anyone who works directly with kids in the healthcare industry. I was sick with a 104 fever and was forced to return to work the next day. Even just 3 hours would have been enough. Also, 30min breaks are not enough. By the time im able to clock out ive already taken 2 - 3 mins, sometimes 5 off my break. There is also a high turn over rate and it seems like they just hire anyone. During my training there were a lot of inappropriate conversations. As someone with prior ABA experience, ABA is not just another job and there needs to be an empahsis on that during the training. We are literally working with the most vulnerable population. Also a lot of my trainers would talk with therapist during the session when shadowing about hanging out, going out for drinks, vacations, ect which is not the first impression i want to have when working with children in a professional setting. Id often see therapist leave their patient on their own for over 15mins, sometimes a whole hour. My center also just seemed really dirty, it was the dirtiest ABA clinic ive ever worked at. Im not understanding why they leave the staff lounge full of stains or why we even still have carpet. Its really uncomfortable to be there during my break. I visited other clinics and they were so much cleaner.

Pros

Benefits, PTO, and decent flexibility is some of the few positive for Action. Having upper management and leadership that actually listens to employee concerns and works toward practical solutions is probably the top pros.

Cons

Tech issues can arise more often than liked. But they are typically resolved quickly.

Pros

This is the first review I have ever written for an organization. Having been with ABC for over three years now and in our field for under a decade, I feel like I have a good grasp of our field, careers as a clinical supervisor and challenges that come with longevity in center based pediatric ABA services. My time with ABC has been full of laughter, camaraderie, learning and constant development. I have given it my all and the company has reciprocated. Through thick and thin, changes in the organization and evolution of my current role, I have been treated with respect and fairness. There is transparency, awareness and most importantly, humility to acknowledge missteps and correct them.

Cons

The role is draining. You are constantly trying to appease junior clinicians, therapists and families. After doing it for a few years, you feel the fatigue. What gets me energized is spending time with other clinicians and celebrating them. I look forward to summits and gatherings where we can put the day to day aside for a moment and acknowledge and recognize each other.
