Pros

You make great friends with co-workers and there are fun field trips in the summer.

Cons

Management is sneaky and will go behind your back if you do something they do not like. Hours were cut down to 2 hours a day for extended day staff under the excuse of budgeting, but some staff kept their hours. We were also only given a days notice of hours being cut. Seems like they pick and choose favorites and are unable to maintain professional. You are expected to do the work of 2 people for the compensation of 1, sometimes less. The culture of the administration is juvenile and if you are not liked by them, you will know and pay for it in hours or wages. After telling me my responsibilities were taken over by someone from the office the day I left, a week later, a coworker of mine had my former responsibilities pushed onto her for no extra compensation or want.

Pros

The coworkers I had were fun

Cons

Management would play favorites, and would oftentimes pay someone with less experience than you more money because they are desperate—without giving more seasoned teachers raises. Management would move teachers to different classes with no notice whatsoever. You can be put in a class and not even know the names of the students there. The ratio numbers are too high and unsafe. Changing areas for babies reek and lack air conditioning. Management can be condescending. The pay is unforgivably low considering workload and responsibilities. No training given.
