Pros

The gratification from seeing the children grow and develop

Cons

Constant lack of communication, which is often blamed and pinned on the teachers. It feels like the admin team is distant and unhelpful. There isn’t much of a “thank you”/appreciation from them despite the headache and toil that teachers experience on a daily basis, which makes it difficult to feel motivated to go to work. It definitely shows in the very low employee retention. Almost 10 teachers have quit in the last year.

Pros

The coworkers I had were fun

Cons

Management would play favorites, and would oftentimes pay someone with less experience than you more money because they are desperate—without giving more seasoned teachers raises. Management would move teachers to different classes with no notice whatsoever. You can be put in a class and not even know the names of the students there. The ratio numbers are too high and unsafe. Changing areas for babies reek and lack air conditioning. Management can be condescending. The pay is unforgivably low considering workload and responsibilities. No training given.
